These are some of the questions I get asked.

My name is Kudirat Mojisola Olowosale (KMO) and I am the CEO and Director of the Property Business Training UK
I would be using this space to share property knowledge and key strategies out there.
This edition is my first on this platform and I would like to answer one of the common questions regularly asked.

WHY INVEST IN PROPERTY?

Investing in property in the UK might be a desirable option for a number of reasons, but before making any investment decisions, it’s crucial to do extensive research and take your financial objectives and risk tolerance into account. The following are some reasons why you may want to invest in property:

1. Rental Income: Having a property in the UK may bring in rental income, which can be a consistent source of funding. This revenue could serve as a passive income stream.
2. Potential for Capital Appreciation: Over the long run, UK property values have historically exhibited a stable rise. Despite potential and recent volatility, investing in property can offer the chance for your investment to appreciate in value and most especially over time.
3. Short-Term Rentals and Airbnb: Compared to conventional long-term leases, short-term rentals and Airbnb hosting can result in larger rental income in well-known tourist destinations. Correctly set up, this can be a profitable strategy.
4. House of Multiply Occupancy: Similarly renting your house out in rooms, also known as House of multiply occupancy, can generate higher cash flow/rental income. Similarly, to short term let, correctly set up, one could steadily increase their monthly revenue.
5. Pride of Ownership: Owning a property can make one feel accomplished and proud. It allows you to have control over the asset, make improvements, and potentially enjoy it as a personal residence in the future.
